AEG Vision is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator in Austin, TX. You will manage front desk operations, coordinate patient flow, and optimize schedules across the care team to ensure a smooth patient experience.

You will greet patients, handle calls and emails, verify insurance, and maintain accurate EMR records. Candidates should communicate clearly, work well with clinicians and staff, and maintain confidentiality in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to learn practice management systems (EMR).
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with a focus on patient-centered service.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, customers, and vendors; be the primary contact for patient interactions.
• Answer calls, respond to inquiries, and manage email/digital communications.
• Schedule patient appointments and support provider schedule optimization.
• Execute appointment confirmations and reminders to reduce no-shows.
• Verify insurance eligibility and patient demographics; enter data in EMR.
• Explain insurance coverage and patient financial responsibility.
• Prepare patient charts and documentation for visits.
• Collect and document charges, co-pays, and payments in EMR.
