Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; post-secondary education in medical office administration is preferred.
• Experience in a healthcare setting or administrative support is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
• Proficiency with hospital management software and office equipment (computers, phones, fax).
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Patient admissions and discharges; complete forms, enter data, and prepare charts.
• Manage patient records accurately in electronic and paper systems.
• Schedule appointments, tests, and procedures; coordinate with staff.
• Answer phones, relay messages, and handle patient communications.
• Perform clerical tasks such as typing, filing, and charge capture.
• Monitor and restock ward supplies and forms as needed.
• Greet patients and visitors; maintain a welcoming ward environment.
