Job summary

Stanford Health Care seeks a PCC II to learn and apply clinical skills, policies, and procedures and assist with day-to-day clinic operations. You will exercise judgment within guidelines to support patient care and workflow expansion within the care delivery team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with one of the listed medical assisting credentials.
• Certificate of completion or official transcript from a medical assisting program.
• Completion of medical assistant training by a licensed physician or podiatrist.
• Certification as medical assistant through a Medical Board of California - approved organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop clinical expertise in assigned area.
• Complete disability paperwork, maintain temperature logs, follow protocols, ensure safety.
• Perform patient care duties: vital signs, rooming, drawing labs, assist with medication reconciliation, EKG, etc.
• Clinical administration: check-in/out, virtual rooming, vaccine administration, point-of-care testing, specimen collection.
• Clinic maintenance: weekly prep, stocking, ordering meds/supplies, complete tasks on time.
• Communication: handle patient calls, refills, CRM/In-Basket, liaison between provider, patient, staff.
