Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology and coding/billing regulations.
• Ability to use computer systems and software in a clinical setting.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Clinical expertise development in assigned area to build specialty knowledge.
• Complete disability paperwork, maintain logs, and follow safety protocols.
• Perform patient care tasks: vitals, rooming, labs, and assisting with meds.
• Handle check-in/out, virtual rooming, vaccine administration and point-of-care testing.
• Clinic maintenance: supply ordering and timely task completion.
• Coordinate with providers, patients, and staff; manage calls and prescriptions.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Medical assisting program certificate

Medical assistant training by licensed physician/podiatrist

Certification from Medical Board of California–approved MA certifying organization
