HCA Florida Memorial Hospital is seeking a Patient Logistics Specialist to join our team in Jacksonville. You will coordinate patient transfers, schedule discharges, and maintain bed availability information to support timely admissions.

This role requires strong communication, an associate degree or higher preferred, and experience in acute care; rotating weekends and 12-hour shifts are typical. Join a team committed to patient-centered care and efficient care coordination.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher preferred.
• Experience in an acute care setting is preferred (e.g., Hospital Unit Secretary, ED).
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
• Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Proficiency with medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Respond to phone calls with urgency and good customer service.
• Gather initial information to open new cases and prepare clinical packets for clinicians.
• Maintain awareness of facility medical staff, services, and programs.
• Locate resources and coordinate information to support patient disposition or admissions.
• Track bed availability within the community for non-HCA bed placements.
• Facilitate hospital transfers and transports via phone and computer systems.
• Provide updates on patient case status and bed placement requests.
• Assist to schedule and prioritize discharge transports for rapid response to requests.

Education
