Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Patient Logistics Specialist to join an on-site, part-time team with weekend shifts. You will handle intake of referrals, coordinate bed availability and transfers, and support patient flow across ED, inpatient, and community settings.

Ideal candidates have healthcare experience and possibly call-center or bed management background. This role requires strong customer service and teamwork to advance patient care.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of healthcare experience highly preferred.
• Behavioral Health experience highly preferred.
• Call Center – Transfer Center – Bed Management experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Responds to phone calls with urgency and good customer service.
• Gathers information to open cases and prepares clinical packets.
• Locates resources and coordinates patient disposition and admissions.
• Maintains bed availability inventory for non-HCA bed placements.
• Accepts, tracks and facilitates hospital transfers and transports.
• Provides status updates to customers on patient cases.
• Schedules and prioritizes discharge transports; supports rapid response.
• Assesses situations to aid patient flow through the continuum of care.
