Fast Pace Health in Hickory, NC is seeking a Patient Care Specialist to provide administrative support for effective patient care under supervision of a NP/PA. You will deliver outstanding customer service, assist with patient registration, insurance practices, and front office processes.

The role emphasizes compassion, teamwork, and maintaining a welcoming clinic environment. Ideal candidates have 1 year of customer service experience, High School diploma, CPR certification, and proficiency

Qualifications

• Experience delivering high-level customer service in a medical setting.
• Ability to greet, register, and discharge patients accurately.
• Knowledge of insurance basics and patient demographics handling.

Responsibilities

• Greet, register, and discharge patients with exceptional service.
• Input patient demographics and financial information at registration.
• Verify and update patient insurance information.
• Collect co-pays and self-pay amounts at check-in.
• Answer phones with patient-centered courtesy.
• Coordinate medical records with clinics as needed.
• Cross-train on back-office tasks and maintain compliance.
• Maintain a clean reception area and friendly atmosphere.
