Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience as a front-office receptionist or in a healthcare clinic.
• Preferred podiatric/orthopedic clinic experience.
• Experience with medical billing and coding is highly preferred.
• Experience using an EMR (Athenahealth) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Front desk duties: greet patients, answer calls, collect information, and keep entry area organized.
• Assist patients with scheduling appointments.
• Maintain on-time schedules by notifying physicians of arrivals.
• Retrieve and file patient records; update information and scan documents into EMR.
• Collect payments from patients.
• Maintain office supply inventory.
• Protect patient confidentiality of records.
• Contribute to team effort by assisting with additional duties as needed.
