Job summary

AEG is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to join our eye care team. You will manage front desk operations, support patient flow, optimize schedules, and coordinate across care teams to deliver a seamless patient experience.

The role requires clear communication, the ability to anticipate needs, and proactive calendar management to maintain timely appointments, accurate charting in EMR, and accurate insurance verification and patient financial responsibility communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to learn EMR systems.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and serve as primary contact for interactions.
• Answer calls, inquiries, and manage emails promptly and professionally.
• Schedule patient appointments and optimize provider calendars.
• Send appointment confirmations and reminders to reduce no-shows.
• Verify insurance eligibility and patient demographics; enter data in EMR.
• Maintain accurate records of charges, co-pays, and payments in EMR.
• Support patient retention through follow-up and recall outreach.
