AEG Vision is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to support front desk operations, patient flow, and care team coordination. You will greet patients, manage scheduling, verify insurance, and enter accurate EMR data to ensure a smooth visit.

Ideal candidates have strong communication, organizational skills, and a patient-centered service mindset to improve the patient experience and retention in a fast-paced clinic setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to learn practice management systems (EMR).
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with a focus on patient-centered service.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• Ability to proactively identify issues and contribute to solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to maintain patient and practice confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, customers, and vendors; primary contact for patient interactions.
• Answer calls, respond to inquiries, and manage emails professionally.
• Schedule patient appointments and support provider schedule optimization.
• Execute appointment confirmations and reminders to reduce no-shows.
• Verify insurance eligibility and enter demographics in EMR.
• Communicate insurance coverage and patient financial responsibility.
• Prepare patient charts and documentation for visits.
• Record charges and payments in EMR and reconcile accounts.
• Run reports to ensure charges are billed and up to date.
• Monitor patient flow and adjust schedules to prevent bottlenecks.
• Communicate wait times and next steps to patients.
• Coordinate with clinical teams to ensure smooth transitions.
• Support retention through recalls and annual/medically necessary visits.
• Maintain organized, clean front desk area.
