Compass Health Center in Silver Spring, MD is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to provide clerical support for our patients. You will greet and orient patients, answer calls, schedule intakes, and manage patient charts while upholding HIPAA standards.

This onsite role involves coordinating between patients, families, and clinicians to ensure a smooth flow of appointments. The position requires 1–2 years of customer service experience, excellent communication, and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organization and planning skills; detail oriented.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Computer proficiency and ability to learn new software.
• Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
• Flexible Schedule – able to work assigned schedule.

Responsabilités

• Greets and orients all patients, visitors, and staff entering the building.
• Answers incoming calls in a warm and welcoming manner.
• Maintains neat and orderly reception area.
• Maintains awareness of people in the building.
• Completes intake calls and schedules intake appointments.
• Schedules family therapy and outpatient psychiatry appointments.
• Verifies demographics and insurance; enters data in chart promptly.
• Maintains patient charts per confidentiality and HIPAA policy.
• Uses EMR system to verify appointments and schedule clinicians.
• Collects payments and issues receipts for services.
• Opens and closes the facility according to procedure.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
