Barrow Brain and Spine is seeking a Care Coordinator to join our world-class neurosurgery team in Phoenix. The role focuses on patient intake, EMR management, and ensuring physicians have all necessary notes and reports prior to visits.

You will greet patients, record vitals, process orders, and coordinate follow-up appointments while maintaining strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance. A high school diploma or GED is required, with 1–2 years in a medical setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register new patients in EMR with demographics and insurance information.
• Coordinate clerical and customer service for physician's office.
• Ensure access to all initial consultations, lab slips, and reports for physicians.
• Open chart encounters in AthenaOne and maintain patient records.
• Greet and room patients; take vitals and document assessments.
• Enter orders, E-Prescribe information and create visit summaries.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and coordinate referrals.
