Job summary

Sentara Fort Norfolk is hiring a full-time Patient Care Specialist in Norfolk, VA. You will handle non-clinical tasks in a physician's office, answer phones, schedule appointments, and assist patients to ensure a great experience.

Working Monday–Friday, 8:00AM–4:30PM, you’ll join a collaborative team focused on quality care. The role requires a HS Diploma, with an Associate degree or higher considered in lieu of experience, and 3 years of customer service experience, plus 1 year in health

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of customer service experience.
• At least 1 year experience with health insurance plans, medical records data, medical terminology, registration, scheduling, or third-party payers.
• High school diploma required; an Associate degree or higher may substitute.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-clinical support within a physician's office to ensure excellent patient experience.
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, and respond to patient questions.
