Job summary

STG International is seeking a Medical Support Assistant for a future opening at a VA CBOC site in Sherman, Texas. Responsibilities focus on patient flow, scheduling, records, and coordination with the medical team to ensure continuity of care.

The role requires front office experience, strong clerical skills, excellent customer service, and proficiency with EMR systems and telehealth tools. A high school diploma or GED is required, CPR/BLS preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Two years of medical/clerical experience preferred in outpatient/hospital settings.
• Proficient in basic office tasks (typing, filing) and scheduling.
• Familiar with telehealth technologies and how to troubleshoot issues.

Responsibilities

• Manages schedules and treatment for CBOC patients.
• Maintains electronic logs/files for consult/appointment processes.
• Greets and checks in patients and updates records.
• Coordinates patient schedules and clinic flow.
• Performs clerical and administrative duties to maintain patient data.
