Job summary

Bookmark Medical is seeking a Medical Assistant/Patient Service Specialist to support both patients and providers in Tucson, AZ. You will greet patients, handle scheduling and insurance tasks, and help maintain accurate patient information in the electronic health record.

This role requires accredited MA training or equivalent experience, with MA certification or willingness to obtain (reimbursed). A minimum of 1+ year of healthcare experience and strong teamwork are preferred.

Qualifications

• Accredited MA training or equivalent experience.
• MA Certification required or willingness to obtain (reimbursed).
• 1+ year of healthcare experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and check them in with warmth and professionalism.
• Manage calls, messages, scheduling, referrals, follow-ups, and co-pays.
• Assist with insurance verifications and prior authorizations.
• Update patient information and support clear communication between patients and providers.
• Room patients and prepare them for visits.
• Take vitals, update medical histories, and document in the HER.
• Assist providers with procedures and administer vaccines.
• Perform point-of-care testing.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and follow safety protocols.
