Job summary

Bookmark Medical in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Medical Assistant/Patient Service Specialist to support patients and providers in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment where trust and teamwork matter.

You will greet patients, check them in, manage calls, messages, scheduling, referrals, and co-pays; assist with insurance verifications and prior authorizations; update patient information; room patients, take vitals, document in the HER, and support procedures and vaccines.

Qualifications

• Accredited MA training or equivalent experience
• MA certification (or willingness to obtain, we will reimburse for your certification)
• 1+ year of healthcare experience preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
• Comfort working in a fast paced, patient centered environment

Responsibilities

• Greeting patients and checking them in with warmth and professionalism
• Managing calls, messages, scheduling, referrals, follow ups, and co pays
• Assisting with insurance verifications and prior authorizations
• Updating patient information and supporting clear communication between patients and providers
• Rooming patients and preparing them for visits
• Taking vitals, updating medical histories, and documenting in the HER
• Assisting providers with procedures and administering vaccines
