Bookmark Medical in Tucson, AZ, is seeking a Medical Assistant/Patient Services Specialist to support both patients and providers in a fast-paced, patient-centered setting.

You'll greet patients, check them in, manage calls, scheduling, referrals, and co-pays, verify insurance, handle prior authorizations, and keep patient records up to date. You will room patients, take vitals, document in the EHR, assist with procedures and vaccines, and maintain clean exam rooms.

Qualifications

• Accredited MA training or equivalent experience.
• MA certification (or willingness to obtain; reimbursement provided).
• 1+ year healthcare experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization and teamwork skills.
• Comfort in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

Responsabilités

What you’ll do

You’ll play a key role in supporting both patients and providers by:

• Greeting patients and checking them in with warmth and professionalism
• Managing calls, messages, scheduling, referrals, follow ups, and co pays
• Assisting with insurance verifications and prior authorizations
• Updating patient information and supporting clear communication between patients and providers

Clinical/ Medical Assistant Responsibilities

• Rooming patients and preparing them for their visit
• Taking vitals, updating medical histories, and documenting in the HER
• Assisting providers with procedures and administering vaccines
• Performing point -of-car testing
• Maintaining clean, stocked exam rooms and following all safety protocols

What you bring

• Accredited MA training or equivalent experience
• MA certification (or willingness to obtain, we will reimburse for your certification)
• 1+ year of healthcare experience preferred
