Allina Health is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator to support patient care coordination alongside nursing and the multidisciplinary team. This role handles admissions, transfers, discharges and patient registration, and enters data into the EMR with accuracy and timeliness.

Key responsibilities include answering phones, managing call lights, coordinating patient care needs, and assisting with supply storage and documentation per unit protocol.

Qualificações

• 2 or more years of experience in a medical office or hospital setting.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Health Unit Coordinator program certification preferred.
• Medical Terminology preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assists with coordination of care with nursing staff and multidisciplinary team.
• Performs clerical duties including admissions, transfers, discharge and registration.
• Enters patient and caregiver information into the Electronic Medical Record system.
• Answers phone and call lights in a timely manner.
