Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to support a fast-paced healthcare contact center. The role requires accurate data entry in EMR systems, including Athena, and handling lab orders, ERX, and prior authorizations.

You will provide top-notch patient service by phone and work closely with clinicians to ensure continuity of care. The position is contract-to-hire and fully remote in the United States, with a schedule that emphasizes reliability, accuracy, and clear communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year as Medical Assistant or Pharmacy Technician.
• 1+ year in high-volume call center environment.
• Proficient with EMR/EHR systems including Athena.
• Strong communication and data-entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Answer high-volume inbound patient calls and provide courteous service.
• Schedule follow-ups and document appointments in EMR.
• Update patient information and clinical notes in EMR (Athena).
• Handle ERX and medication-management tasks.
• Order labs and enter lab data accurately in EMR.
• Relay lab results to patients/teams promptly.
• Assist with prior authorizations and insurance coordination.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to support continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
