Job summary

Qualifications

• 1+ year as Medical Assistant or Pharmacy Technician
• 1+ year in a high-volume call center
• Experience in medical/healthcare settings
• Proficiency with EMR/EHR including Athena
• Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare processes
• Experience with ERX and med-related tasks
• Ability to order labs and enter lab data into EMR
• Experience with prior authorization processes
• Strong customer service over the phone
• Accurate data entry and medical records maintenance
• Comfort with 100+ calls per day
• BLS knowledge or certification (if applicable)
• Familiarity with insurance processes

Responsibilities

• Answer a high volume of inbound patient calls and provide courteous service.
• Perform follow-ups and schedule appointments with accurate details.
• Update patient information and clinical notes in EMR (Athena).
• Handle ERX and support medication management processes.
• Order labs as requested and enter properly into the system.
• Relay lab results to patients and clinical teams timely.
• Support prior authorization processes coordinating with pharmacies/insurers.
• Use medical terminology to support patient care coordination.
• Provide front desk–style service over the phone and route calls.
• Collaborate with healthcare team for continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate medical records in EMR per standards.
• Handle insurance inquiries and documentation as part of coordination.
• Manage 100+ calls per day with professionalism.
