Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to support the surgical experience in a fast-paced ambulatory surgery center. You will be the primary contact for patients before and after procedures, handling a high volume of calls with accuracy and professionalism.

The role involves preop and postop outreach, documenting all interactions, and escalating clinical questions as needed, while working with nursing, scheduling, and leadership to ensure patient satisfaction and compliant operations.

Responsibilities

• Preoperative calls to confirm procedure details, arrival times, transportation, documentation, and patient understanding of instructions.
• Postoperative calls to check recovery, reinforce discharge instructions, and address questions needing clinical review.
• Document all patient communications and follow-ups in the appropriate system.
• Collaborate with nursing, scheduling, providers, and leadership to support continuity of care and regulatory compliance.
• Assist with call logs, tracking incomplete calls, patient communications, and other admin tasks as needed.
