Job summary

RadNet, Inc. is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to deliver exceptional service at the point of entry for patients, vendors, and callers. You will assist with check-in/out, collect payments, and verify insurance coverage in the EMR system.

Responsibilities include obtaining demographics, scheduling, preparing claims, and ensuring files are complete. Strong communication and confidentiality are essential in this fast-paced front desk role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Basic computer literacy is required.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must be able to maintain patient and practice confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge patients, customers and vendors entering the practice in a friendly and welcoming manner.
• Answer and respond to telephone inquiries professionally and promptly.
• Gather patients’ and insurance information and enter demographics into EMR.
• Verify and enter patient demographics and insurance information in EMR.
• Explain insurance information to patients and verify coverage where needed.
• Pull schedules to verify insurance eligibility prior to appointments and ensure files are complete.
• Prepare insurance claims and run reports to ensure charges are billed and filed.
• Print and prepare forms for patient visits and collect charges, co-pays, and payments in EMR.
• Allocate balances to insurance as needed and maintain a clean workspace.

Patient Care Coordinators are responsible for providing exceptional service by welcoming our patients and ensuring all check-in and checkout processes are completed.

• Acknowledge and greets patients, customer, and vendors as they walk into the practice, in a friendly and welcoming manner
• Answers and responds to telephone inquiries in a professional and timely manner
• Gathers patients and insurance information
• Verifies and enters patient demographics into EMR ensuring all fields are complete
• Verifies vision and medical insurance information and enters EMR
• Maintains a clear understanding of insurance plans and is able to communicate insurance information to the patients
• Pulls schedules to ensure insurance eligibility prior to patient appointment and ensures files are complete
• Prepare insurance claims and run reports to ensure all charges are billed and filed
• Print and prepare forms for patients visit
• Collects and documents all charges, co-pays, and payments into EMR
• Allocates balances to insurance as needed
• Always maintains a clean workspace
• Practices economy in the use of _me, equipment, and supplies
• Performs other duties as needed and as assigned by manager

Requirements
