Responsibilities

• Greet patients, answers inquiries, and direct to appropriate personnel.

• Maintain clean, organized workspace and manage patient flow.
• Process check-in and checkout procedures and collect payments.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

Job description

Patient Care Coordinators are responsible for providing exceptional service by welcoming our patients and ensuring all check-in and checkout processes are completed.

• Acknowledge and greet patients, customer, and vendors as they walk into the practice in a friendly and welcoming manner
• Answer and respond to telephone inquiries in a professional and timely manner
• Gather patients and insurance information
• Verify and enter patient demographics into EMR ensuring all fields are complete
• Verify vision and medical insurance information and enter EMR
• Maintain a clear understanding of insurance plans and communicate insurance information to patients
• Pull schedules to ensure insurance eligibility prior to patient appointment and ensure files are complete
• Prepare insurance claims and run reports to ensure all charges are billed and filed
• Print and prepare forms for patient visits
• Collect and document all charges, co-pays, and payments into EMR
• Allocate balances to insurance as needed
• Always maintain a clean workspace
• Practice economy in the use of equipment and supplies
• Perform other duties as needed and as assigned by manager

Requirements
