Job Summary:
The Physical Therapy Patient Coordinator is the first point of contact for our patients. This role is responsible for managing front desk operations, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, handling patient intake and check-out, and ensuring a smooth and professional experience for every visitor.
Key Responsibilities:
-Greet and check in patients with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries promptly
- Schedule and confirm appointments accurately and efficiently
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations
- Collect co-pays and manage billing questions or concerns
- Maintain patient records and ensure proper documentation
- Coordinate communication between patients, therapists, and insurance providers
- Uphold patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
- Support daily clinic operations and contribute to a positive team environment
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree or higher preferred
Prior experience in a medical or physical therapy office is strongly preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Proficient with scheduling software and EMR systems (experience with [specify software, if known])
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Bilingual a plus
