A leading health system is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to oversee patient care services in the Emergency Department. The role requires a BSN degree, a valid RN license in New York, and significant clinical experience. The PCC will ensure high standards of nursing practice and collaborate with the nursing team to deliver exceptional patient care.

The Patient Care Coordinator participates in performance improvement/research activities; maintains professional practice standards and clinical expertise; and demonstrates leadership skills. The PCC demonstrates core and unit-specific competencies based on the patient population served.
The Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) contributes to the realization of the vision, philosophy, and balanced performance measures of the discipline. He/she is committed to maintaining nursing standards and is responsible for coordinating, implementing, delivering, and evaluating care for neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and/or geriatric patients. The PCC collaborates with and works under the direction of the Administrative Nurse Manager.
Responsibilities include coordinating and implementing fiscal, human, and other resources needed to provide patient care services for a designated unit, location, or patient population. The PCC monitors nursing staff performance in maintaining MMC standards of practice, provides coaching and feedback as needed. Note that the clinical title does not carry over from unit to unit.
