Job summary

Trinity Rehab is seeking a friendly, dependable Patient Care Coordinator to support the front desk at our New Jersey outpatient physical therapy clinic. The role focuses on welcoming patients, scheduling appointments, collecting co-pays, and assisting with the check-in kiosk, with minimal phone work.

You will help keep the reception area organized, assist new patients with the check-in process, and perform basic administrative tasks such as scanning and filing documents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Friendly, professional, and comfortable interacting with patients.
• Dependable and able to maintain a consistent work schedule.
• Basic computer and data-entry skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle payments accurately.
• Willingness to learn scheduling and check-in systems.
• Prior receptionist, customer service, retail, or healthcare experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
• Check patients in and assist them with the clinic’s check-in kiosk
• Provide additional assistance to new patients completing the check-in process
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments
• Collect co-payments and provide receipts when needed
• Make copies of identification cards, insurance cards, and patient paperwork
• Scan, copy, and organize basic documents
• Answer or direct occasional basic patient questions
• Notify the appropriate team member when a patient requires additional assistance
• Keep the front desk and reception area neat and organized
• Complete other basic front desk duties as assigned
