Job summary

UnitedHealthcare, part of UnitedHealth Group, is seeking a Patient Services Representative to join the primary care team. You will greet patients, schedule and reschedule appointments, answer calls, and document in the EMR to support coordinated, high-quality care.

You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care managers to ensure accurate data, HIPAA compliance, and smooth patient flow, while demonstrating strong customer service and proficiency with Word and Excel.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years of experience as receptionist or administrative support in medical facility or professional office.
• Computer experience with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to confirm and reschedule appointments.
• Answer telephone, record messages in EMR, and direct calls as needed.
• Enter patient data in the EMR and create alerts to ensure proper documentation and HIPAA compliance.
• Create spreadsheets and documents when necessary.
• Greet patients and assist with check-in/out and inquiries.
• Collect appropriate fees and balance cash drawers at end of day.
