Job summary

Accendra Health is seeking a Branch Coordinator to deliver excellent patient service by phone and in person. You will process orders, verify insurance, obtain authorizations, and ensure accurate billing documentation to maximize insurance benefits.

You will work with the branch team to handle appointments, payments, and documentation while maintaining quality service and timely communication with patients and providers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of related work experience.
• Healthcare or office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as first point of contact to patients arriving in person.
• Answer inbound calls from customers on a multi-line phone system; provide information to new and existing patients, troubleshoot issues and escalate when needed.
• Process branch duties: create and manage orders, verify insurance, obtain authorization per payor guidelines, monitor faxes, and input data.
• Collect required documents to bill health insurance plans for patients and ensure timely payments.
• Confirm delivery appointments and coordinate with patients and referral sources.
• Process payments, reconcile daily receivables, and submit to lock box.
• Conduct outbound satisfaction calls to patients and referrals.
• May download data from devices and perform basic tests on respiratory equipment.
• Other duties as needed.
