Mount Sinai Health System in New York City seeks a Patient Care Associate to support the registered nurse in patient care activities across inpatient units, ED, surgical services and ICU. You will assist with activities of daily living, specimen collection, and help maintain a safe, clean environment.

You will participate in admissions, update nursing care plans, take vital signs and assist with treatments and EKGs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; 1-2 years PCA/CNA experience preferred.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; professional and respectful with patients.

Responsabilités

• Functions as a member of a multidisciplinary care team across inpatient units, ED, surgical services, and ICU.
• Assists with admissions, orientation, and data collection.
• Aids patients with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Performs selected direct care duties including vital signs, specimens, EKGs, and other procedures.
• Organizes activities for multiple patients and collaborates effectively with the care team.
