Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a Patient Care Associate to support registered nurses in delivering patient-centered care across inpatient units, ED, surgical services, and ICU. You will assist with daily living activities, vital signs, specimen collection, and basic therapies as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, 1–2 years PCA/CNA experience preferred, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years current PCA/CNA experience preferred or Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, Finger stick and EKG skills.
• BLS (American Heart Association) required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and personal hygiene.
• Support the registered nurse in patient care activities in inpatient, ED, surgical, or ICU units.
• Take vital signs, collect specimens, and perform procedures as directed.
• Assist with patient admission/orientation and room/unit tour.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and organize activities for multiple patients.
• Demonstrate teamwork and effective communication with the care team.
