Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certificate/completion of Medical Assistant or Patient Care Assistant program with venipuncture and EKG skills.
• Interpersonal skills to communicate and collaborate effectively with the care team.
• Documentation of Medical Assistant/Patient Care Associate training.
• 1–9 months healthcare experience preferred.
• Ability to set priorities, problem solve, and use sound judgement.
• Proficient English for oral and written communication.
• Physical stamina and manual dexterity for a range of tasks.
• American Heart Association Heartsaver or BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living for patients.
• Record vital signs and intake/output data.
• Assist with procedures and specimen collection.
• Transport patients and equipment as needed.
• Deliver and collect meal trays; assist with dietary orders.
• Maintain safe, clean patient environment and isolation precautions.
• Provide compassionate patient/family care and support.
• Support RN and care team in daily operations.
