Mount Sinai seeks a Patient Care Associate to support nursing teams in inpatient and ED settings. You will assist with activities of daily living, vital signs, specimen collection, and basic procedures under RN supervision.

You’ll orient patients, maintain a safe, clean environment, and participate in ambulation and therapies as directed. A High School diploma and 1–2 years PCA/CNA experience are preferred, with BLS certification and strong communication skills.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years' experience as PCA/CNA preferred or related medical assistant work.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required.

Responsabilidades

• Functions as a member of a patient-focused multidisciplinary care team providing a full range of services to patients in assigned areas (Inpatient units, ED, Surgical Services, ICU).
• Participates in the patient admission and orientation to the unit, obtains and records data.
• Assists with changing, securing valuables, review of unit rules and providing orientation to room and unit.
• Assists with nursing care plan preparation and updates, and supports therapeutic interventions to implement plans.
• Performs direct care duties including vital signs, specimen collection, personal hygiene, ADLs, procedures/treatments, EKGs, finger sticks, and ambulation as directed.
• Ability to organize activities of multiple patients and to function and communicate within a team.
