Job summary

South Shore Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to assist in patient care across nursing areas, transport patients, and perform clerical duties to support the unit. The role includes observing patients requiring constant observation and ensuring safety and documentation of services rendered.

You will work under licensed personnel, maintain BLS certification, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote a culture of safety and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• BLS - Basic Life Support required.
• Basic medical terminology.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and document information accurately.
• Ability to deal efficiently and effectively with a wide variety of individuals.

Responsibilities

• Assist in patient care under direct supervision of licensed personnel.
• Observe, obtain and report patient data/status to the RN.
• Respond to acuity and emergent situations as directed by nursing staff.
• Maintain current knowledge and certification, including BLS.
