Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
• Previous Nursing Assistant or equivalent experience is preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Basic medical terminology knowledge.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and document information accurately.
• Ability to deal with a wide variety of individuals efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist in patient care under the direct supervision of licensed personnel.
• Observe, obtain and report patient data/status to the assigned RN.
• Respond to acuity and emergent situations as directed by nursing staff.
• Maintain professional relationships with colleagues to promote a positive workplace.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and hospital policies and procedures.
• Utilize department software applications as required.
