Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High School Diploma/GED; focused on basic medical terminology.
• Basic life support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Observes, reports patient data/status to RN.
• Responds to acuity and emergent situations as directed by nursing staff.
• Maintains knowledge/certification and serves as a preceptor to new employees.
• Verifies patient identification with two identifiers before procedures.
• Follows safety, hygiene, and sterile techniques per CDC guidelines.
