Job summary

Mayo Clinic is hiring Patient Care Assistants (PCA) in Minnesota. This part-time day/evening role offers 0.5–0.7 FTE (20–56 hours per week) with an onsite hiring event and structured training.

You will work with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide compassionate patient care and learn through a comprehensive training program. Qualifications include 18+ and English proficiency; 12 college credits or a high school diploma with CNA-like training.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age and able to read, write, communicate, and understand English.
• Completion of 12 college credits or High school diploma/GED with Nursing Assistant training preferred.
• Basic Life Support certification provided if needed during orientation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care by assisting with activities of daily living.
• Obtain and document vital signs, intake and output, and other patient information in the EHR.
• Support a safe patient care environment following established safety practices.
• Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team to support care delivery.
