Job summary

Newton-Wellesley Hospital is hiring a patient care assistant to support licensed personnel in daily living activities, vital signs, and documentation. The role includes assisting with baths, meals, and mobility, while maintaining compassionate communication with patients and families.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Experience in patient care/elder care 1-2 years preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
• Proficient with electronic medical records.
• Strong patient/customer service skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with activities of daily living under supervision.
• Measures vital signs and basic health data.
• Completes documentation in medical records as required.
• Interacts with patients and families effectively.
• Assists with turning/repositioning and mobility as needed.
• Reports health concerns to nurses.
