Job summary

Newton-Wellesley Hospital is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support registered nurses in providing safe and compassionate patient care. You will perform point-of-care duties, document vitals and intake/output, assist with ambulation and feeding, and communicate with the nursing staff to ensure smooth daily operations.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent and BLS certification; healthcare experience is preferred. This onsite role offers a night shift with a pay range shown.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• BLS Certification preferred.
• Nursing Assistant certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist RNs and physicians with exams and treatments as required.
• Perform patient care-related duties, including vital signs, EKGs, feeding, and ambulation assistance.
• Ensure patient rooms are stocked, equipped, and cleaned as needed.
• Document patient information such as intake/output and vitals.
• Communicate with nursing staff effectively about patient care and condition.
• Receive and direct Medical Staff, patients, and visitors.
