Job summary

Newton-Wellesley Hospital in Newton, MA is seeking a clinical support role under the direction of a registered nurse to promote a safe, compassionate patient care environment. You will perform patient care-related duties, document vitals, assist with meals, ambulation, and basic procedures as assigned.

This position requires good communication with the nursing staff, ability to lift up to 35 pounds, and proficient EMR use. A high school diploma and BLS certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• BLS Certification or higher.
• CMA or similar credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care-related duties and clinical functions as assigned (e.g., vital signs, EKGs, bathing).
• Assist RNs and physicians with exams and treatments.
• Stock rooms, set up equipment, and clean between patient use.
• Document patient information including intake, fluids, nutrition, and outputs.
• Assist with meals and provide basic patient support.
• Communicate with nursing staff about patient care and condition.
• Receive and direct medical staff, patients, and visitors.
