Job summary

Newton-Wellesley Hospital is seeking a Nursing Assistant to join the interdisciplinary health care team under the direction of an RN. You will perform patient care-related duties, assist with vital signs, feeding, transfers, and other tasks to support safe, compassionate care.

The role requires strong communication, multitasking, and adherence to safety guidelines in a fast-paced environment. Onsite, night shift, 36 hours per week, with a $750 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Ability to multitask and handle stress in a clinical setting.
• Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology and documentation.
• Typing skills and computer experience required for charting.
• Good interpersonal, organizational, and oral/written communication skills.
• Ability to lift and transport patients using safe techniques.

Responsibilities

• Assist in clinical support functions under RN direction.
• Perform and document vital signs, EKGs, and other patient care tasks.
• Stock and clean patient rooms, obtain and transport equipment.
• Document patient information including intake/output and glucose results.
• Assist with feeding and mobility of patients; communicate with nursing staff.
• Receive and direct staff, patients, and visitors as needed.
