Responsibilities

• Assists RN with daily care of patients including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, activity orders and ambulation.
• Measures and documents vital signs and other patient data; documents in EMR.
• Performs purposeful rounding and communicates observations to RN.
• Participates in admission, transfer and discharge processes under supervision.
• Collects specimens and performs point-of-care testing as indicated.
• Maintains stock for nursing area and cleans equipment and work areas.
• Positioning and transporting patients with proper technique and assistive devices.
• Maintains skin integrity and ensures proper supplies and devices are provided.
