Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year experience as a Patient Care Assistant or Medical Assistant.
• Excellent communication and computer skills; EPIC familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients, completes check-in/check-out and collects demographics.
• Answers phones, schedules appointments, and routes messages to the right contact.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare rooms for provider visits.
• Collects vital signs and updates medical records per guidelines.
• Assists with specimen collection and prepares for visits as needed.
• Maintains patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA standards.
• Reviews and updates patient history and ensures data accuracy in EPIC.
• Promotes use of MyChart and patient portal for engagement.
• Supports administrative tasks: check-in/check-out, insurance verification, and payments.
• Stocks rooms and ensures cleanliness and infection control.
• Collaborates with clinical team to support safe patient care workflows.
• Performs other duties as needed.

Education
