Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to support front-desk and clinical workflows in a fast-paced environment. The role includes reception, registration and basic patient care tasks across the FGP setting, under NYS scope of practice.

The successful candidate will provide courteous patient interactions, help with vital signs, room prep, and ensure accurate medical record updates using EPIC, while maintaining HIPAA privacy and professional communication.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Minimum one year of experience as a Patient Care Assistant or Medical Assistant within the last two years.
• Working knowledge of English evident in verbal, reading and writing abilities; other language an asset.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and completes check-in and check-out processes.
• Answers phones and schedules appointments.
• Maintains patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA standards.
• Uses EPIC to review and update patient records and communicate with the care team.
• Assists with administrative tasks and patient care within NYS scope of practice.
