Job summary

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year of experience as a Patient Care Assistant or Medical Assistant within the last two years.
• Ability to complete multiple tasks efficiently and thrive in a teamwork environment.
• Working knowledge of English is evident in verbal, reading and writing abilities.
• Demonstrated computer skills.
• Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• Phlebotomy proficiency preferred.
• Bilingual, an asset.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and completes check-in and check-out processes.
• Answers phones and schedules appointments.
• Addresses questions or routes calls/messages to appropriate contact.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare rooms for provider visit.
• Validate patient medical records per FGP guidelines.
• Take vital signs and record in EMR.
• Assist with collection of lab specimens.
• Supports FGP access and quality initiatives.
• Performs other duties as needed.
• Maintain busy clinical/administrative workflow and ensure HIPAA compliance.
