Job summary

Emerus is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to support nursing staff at a 20-bed small-format hospital. The role involves advanced indirect and selected direct patient care under an RN, with related clerical tasks within a fast-paced clinical setting.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED, current BLS certification, and English fluency. CNA preferred; 2 years in acute care or enrollment in a nursing program are required. Flex schedule and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• 2 years of work experience in an acute care hospital as a Nursing Assistant, or currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced indirect and selected direct patient care under RN or physician supervision.
• Take vitals, glucose checks, perform EKGs, monitor intake/output, and document records.
• Assist with meals, patient mobility, transportation, and perform housekeeping duties in patient rooms; act as unit clerk when needed.
• Ensure safe care adhering to policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary constraints.
