Job summary

Emerus is seeking a PRN Certified Nursing Assistant to support nursing staff in a 29-bed small-format hospital in Von Ormy, Texas. Under the direction of an RN, you will perform advanced indirect and selected direct care to patients and assist with daily tasks.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, current BLS, and CNA certification preferred, with English fluency. You will take vital signs, assist with meals, mobility, and transport, while maintaining records and ensuring safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• 2 years of work experience in an acute care hospital as a Nursing Assistant or currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program.
• Fluency in English (written and verbal).
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend, and lift.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced indirect and selected direct patient care under RN or physician.
• Take vital signs, blood glucose checks, EKGs, monitor intake and output, and maintain related records.
• Assist with meals, bathing, mobility, transfers, and transport; keep rooms clean and orderly.
• Support unit operations and data entry; may serve as Unit Clerk or monitor patients as assigned.
