Job summary

Emerus in Texas seeks a PRN Certified Nursing Assistant to support nursing staff during day shifts (7am–7pm) in our 29-bed small-format hospital. You will perform indirect and select direct patient care under an RN, handle basic clerical tasks, and help with meals, mobility, and transport while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, current BLS, and CNA preferred; bilingualism is not required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant, preferred.
• Current BLS certification, required.
• 2 years of work in an acute care hospital as a Nursing Assistant or enrolled in a nursing program.
• Ability to understand instructions and communicate clearly in English.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift as part of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced indirect and selected direct patient care under RN guidance.
• Assist with meals, baths, mobility, and transport while maintaining safety.
• Maintain equipment and patient rooms; perform clerical data entry as needed.
• Adhere to policies, manage supplies, and support a team-focused environment.
