Job summary

AdventHealth in Hendersonville, NC is hiring for a full-time role in a day shift, Mon-Fri 8am-5pm. The job supports the patient experience by managing appointments, verifying insurance, check-in processes, and ensuring timely patient flow.

Responsibilities include vitals, documenting allergies, assisting with referrals and orders, and maintaining infection control through cleaning and sterilization per policy. Requires High School diploma and BLS CPR; benefits start Day One.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• BLS CPR certification is required.
• Excellent customer service and strong communication in English are essential.
• Ability to operate a computer, copier, fax, and scanner.
• Ability to work well with patients and coworkers from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates the organization's service standards and drives patient experience by managing appointment bookings and reminders.
• Verifies insurance prior to appointment dates.
• Handles check-in, collects copays and balances.
• Maintains smooth patient flow and responds promptly to calls.
• Performs vitals, documents allergies and screenings after competency validation.
• Assists with scheduling and prior authorizations; cleans and readies exam rooms per guidelines.
• Performs cleaning, disinfection and sterilization of instruments per policy.
• Performs routine equipment maintenance and quality controls on waived tests.
