Job summary

AdventHealth in Hendersonville, NC, is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support clinic operations and patient care. The role involves patient intake, tests, medication administration, and documentation in the clinic system.

The successful candidate will have high school completion, CPR/BLS and CMA/CMAC/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA or equivalent certification, and at least 1 year of related experience. Shift is Mon-Fri with a starting pay around $19/hour.

• Strong English reading, writing and listening skills
• Experience with computers

Responsibilities

• Travels as needed to fulfill staffing needs and support clinic operations.
• Maintains education requirements and demonstrates competency through annual clinical tests.
• Prepares patients and equipment for treatment and documents results in the practice system.
• Maintains OSHA compliance and safety policies.
• Delivers whole care during office visits, including intake, tests, and medication administration.
• Maintains confidentiality of employee and patient information.
• Supports staff by assisting patients, visitors and co-workers.
• Performs clinical intake, including screenings, history taking and vital signs.
• Assist with minor procedures and ensure proper documentation.
• Educates patients about tests, medications, and diet.
• Monitors inventory and ensures equipment and supplies are available.
