Job summary

Requires a high school diploma and 3 years of relevant experience including telephone customer service; knowledge of insurance and medical terms is essential.

Qualifications

• Three years of relevant work experience, including telephone customer service.
• Knowledge of third party insurance and medical terminology.
• Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with the public, physicians, and others, both inside and outside of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Responds to patient inquiries by accessing the billing system.
• Uses internal and external databases to resolve patient inquiries.
• Operates within call distribution center protocols.
• Works in assigned system work queues.
• Processes patient correspondence via mail, voicemail, and email.
• Communicates with revenue cycle areas to resolve questions.
